12 Mar Book Review – Gen Z @ Work by David and Jonah Stillman
Dr. Erin takes over Abbey Research Reads today to talk about Gen Z @ Work: How the Next Generation Is Transforming the Workplace by David and Jonah Stillman. While the book is an interesting starting point for conversations about Gen Z in the workplace, there are a few factors that left Dr. Erin wondering about the impact of its conclusions. The inevitable effect of the pandemic on the Gen Z workplace transition was obviously unforeseeable in 2017 when the book was published, but the book could have done better both at showing the sources and details of the data collected and at taking an intersectional approach to the broad-sweeping generalizations made about the generations studied.
