04 Feb Bridgerton – Season 1, Episode 2 Recap
It’s time for the second episode of Netflix’s Bridgerton! We discuss “Shock and Delight,” which starts the dive into Simon’s backstory. We share our feelings on how race was handled in the show (the beginning of an ongoing conversation), through casting as well as the dialogue and worldbuilding choices. We also celebrate our favorite pair, best friends “Penloise,” who offer comic relief and a lens through which the audience can learn more about this regency world.
