03 Mar Happy Birthday Blog: Bernice Sadler
It’s rather fitting that our first HBD blog for Women’s History Month is celebrating the life of one of the greatest champions of women’s rights in the 20th century. Bernice Sadler, born on this day in 1928 in New York, New York, is most known for her work on the creation of Title IX a portion of the Educations Amendment of 1972. Title IX specifically provided provisions against educational discrimination on the basis of sex and was a huge step forward for women’s rights and representation in education and sports. We found this fabulous interview with Bernice on the 45th anniversary of Title IX, which is a great way to celebrate her ongoing legacy!
Happy birthday, Bernice and thanks for all you did!
