Since the centenary of women’s suffrage last year, we’ve added countless numbers of Black women suffragists to our ranks of badass broads. Today we’re celebrating Hallie Quinn Brown – an American educator, writer, and activist. Born in Pittsburgh in 1845, Brown pioneered the movement for African American Women’s Clubs in the US.
