it starts with empathy

Give us the gift of your time and we'll show you how our model of empathy education can help you (and your people) live, work, and grow into better humans.

We're The Good Doctors

We're best friends, giant nerds, and teachers at our core.

One of our guiding principles is - borrowing the immortal words of Captain James T. Kirk - "We learn by doing."

Empathy is an intellectual posture, not an emotional response, and we can learn empathy by doing it. Empathy and inclusivity are the driving forces of our teaching models, and provide the framework for all our workshop facilitations.

We frame all our workshops through the principles of non-judgement and curiosity. There are no stupid or wrong questions.

With over 30 years experience in academic and business spaces, we bring our intellectual curiosity and business acumen to every interaction.

workshop offerings

Authentic Inclusivity
  • Everyone and their mother has a DEI initiative - but here's the thing - they aren't working.
  • Diversity is the reality of any situation, inclusion is the goal, and privilege is the biggest barrier.
  • Authentic inclusivity cannot be a tick-box exercise - instead it needs to be a daily practice - on an individual and group level.

Understanding Trauma
  • Humans aren't great at dealing with trauma - both theirs and others - and it's preventing us from forming holistic relationships.
  • There is so suffering Olympics - your trauma is not worth less or more than others - it's different.
  • The only thing we have to do when presented with someone else's trauma is to acknowledge they are in pain.

Unlearning Exhaustion
  • We're all exhausted, overworked, and under rested, Americans more so than most, and we can all blame the Puritans.
  • Our culture is built on a broken and damaging model of work - one that rewards hustle and burnout over rest and self-care.
  • Setting boundaries is hard, but possible. It takes self awareness, communication, and comfort food.

what folks are saying ...

The presenter was fabulous! She was engaging and kind, so accepting and validated that no one is perfect, we all have flaws and to give ourselves more grace.

Boundary Setting Workshop

We have had speakers at these meetings before, but this presentation was the most interesting one we've had yet. Kristen and Erin have a wonderful rapport with each other and the audience. The 90 minutes flew by, filled with interesting, entertaining and educational takeaways. I walked away smiling and really thinking about how we communicate as a team and how I can and should relate with people in my work life and beyond.

Square 2 Marketing

Infusing humor into a serious subject. Such a wonderful, ENERGETIC, interactive presentation. I really appreciated the presenter knowing when to stop. My brain needed to absorb, focus and process all the information.

Authentic Inclusivity

We have to stop tolerating each other and start welcoming each other instead.

Understanding Trauma

We all have trauma, but we have to learn that it isn't interchangeable, it's incomparable.

Boundary Setting

It's the Puritans fault we're so darn tired,

but it doesn't have to be that way.
